Well, after all of the stress and sleepless nights my wife & I are now officially bankrupt!!

I must say I don't know what I was worying about regarding going to court.

We arrived at 8am for out 8.20 appointment after not sleeping and feeling like we both wanted to throw up with stress!!!

Was taken to where we needed to wait and within 5 mins we were in the clerks room going throught the forms. She was very kind and understanding and she explained it wasn't her job to have a go at us about our situation nor would the Judge if we had to go infront of him.

After around 15 mins she had gone through both of our forms and explaind what would happen next and we would could go & have a coffee but be back outside within an hour. After half an hour she came & found us an said she managed to rush it through for us and that it was all done!! We wer finally bankrupt!!

We went back into the office for 10 mins waiting for the OR to give us a call to explain what happens next and after talking to them (which was not bad either), that was it we could go!! 1 1/2 hours and we were on our way home feeling very wierd, and very tired!!!

I believe it could not have been a better experience (except for not having to go BR in the first place!) and we feel a lot better knowing that part is done. Only the OR interview to go but one step at a time.

I need to say a BIG thank you to everyone who has given me advice along the way as without you we would not have got through this process!

Hopefully th OR interview will go fine then we can really concentrate on getting on with the rest of our lives.. debt free!!

Hi TR,

Glad that the Court bit is over. It is so good that people are posting the same Court experiences over and over again, ie that it is not a bad one. It must be of some help to those people out there still waiting to go BR - I know it was to me.

Don't worry about the OR interview - just imagine they are sitting on the toilet!

Hi joella68

From what I experienced and was told yesterday you really shouldn't have anything to worry about going to court. We were really surprised!!

Hey TR

Im very pleased to hear about your painless day....its a really weird feeling once its done - The forms are so much more scary than court arent they.

Anyway, step 1 done with ease.....Hope you both have a great nite. Im really pleased for you.
