Posted - 02 May 2009 : 18:50:06 Hi we opened a new account with COOP and were declared BR on wednesday. I know we have to send off our statements from before being declared bankrupt but do we need to send off any from our new account. Just want to no so I can opt out of paper statements or get some ink for our printer incase they are requested in the future.
Thanks
Mick

Posted - 02 May 2009 : 19:42:13 Hi
assuming the new account was listed on your SoA I would wait to see if the OR requests any statements. It is not always the case. If there is a request it may not include the new account if it has only been open for a very short period.
However, if an IPA is likely then future statements may be required by the collecting agent for them to monitor your disposable income.
