From other posts it can normally take a creditor up to about 6 months before they actually take anyone to court over their debts. You are looking to go BR and this is all the creditors can threaten you with so even if you don't answer the calls the worst they will do is petition for BR against you and this would save you paying the fee anyway. |

Posted - 03 May 2009 : 14:35:21 Thanks I am really just trying to keep working which is like catch 22 either work longer hours and make my self unwell to get the money to file bankruptcy, or quit work which I really dont want to do, or put up with the constant phone calls. |

Posted - 03 May 2009 : 13:04:03 If the doctor has advised you not to work them you should be entitled to some type of benefit. Are you claiming anything at the moment?
Speak to the CAB as they may know of any benefits or allowances that you are entitled to and may be able to assist in getting the money together. |

Welcome to the forum.
Are you still paying your creditors? If so stop this and use the money to get the £510 together. You can also get assistance if you are on benefits and only have to pay a reduced amount.
I have most of them accepting £1 a month, on health grounds, but they continually ring and hassle for more, want monthly budget sheets etc. I am able to work enough to pay the rent etc, (against doctors advice) but just cant seem to get the £510 together |
