Hi
The yorkshire banks savings account comes with a maestro card, so that be useful too.
Natwest are BR Friendly for their savings account not Bank Accounts except the Cash Account which doesnt allow direct debits or standing orders.

Yeah, I think you can apply for the Abbey one online so you get your answer there and then. Abbey are one of my creditors so I will be trying the Yorkshire bank. I'll (hopefully) be BR next Monday and one of the first things I'll be doing is opening a savings account. I may only be able to save a couple of pounds some months but I'll make sure that I save something every month.

The OR will only take what is worked out for the IPA and this only happens if you have more than £99 excess after your outgoings have been paid. Anything else is yours to do with as you please.

I think the Yorkshire Bank and Abbey savings accounts are pretty BR friendly unless they were one of your creditors of course. I have seen some people refused a Co-op savings account even though the Basic account is BR friendly, which is a bit strange.
