I'd write to them recorded delivery giving BR date/number, OR details, and say any further contact from them will constitute harrasment.

Weeks of BR

Just ignore the letters - if the debt was included in your BR then they can do nothing about it.

The glimmer gets brighter all the time

It's best just to ignore the letters as they will stop after a while. It took almost 3 weeks after I was BR for the letters to stop even though I phoned the collection agencies and gave them the BR details as the letters are sent out automatically every few days.

The agencies do buy the debt but no-one seems to know the exact amount. I have heard that they buy the debt for less than 10p in the pound but I don't know if that is true or not.

If you haven't had the ORs interview yet mention the agency during the interview and then the OR will contact them.
