Posted - 03 June 2009 : 12:40:36 Just ignore the letters - if the debt was included in your BR then they can do nothing about it.
The glimmer gets brighter all the time

Posted - 03 June 2009 : 11:01:14 It's best just to ignore the letters as they will stop after a while. It took almost 3 weeks after I was BR for the letters to stop even though I phoned the collection agencies and gave them the BR details as the letters are sent out automatically every few days.
The agencies do buy the debt but no-one seems to know the exact amount. I have heard that they buy the debt for less than 10p in the pound but I don't know if that is true or not.
If you haven't had the ORs interview yet mention the agency during the interview and then the OR will contact them.
