hi can you tell me what happens when we get a 5 week month just wondering if the OR lets you have say £520 a mouth for food this is ok for a 4 weeks but then isnt enough for the mouths that have 5 weeks in them .or is it done weekly ??? |

thanks for clearing that up its hard as i get paid weekly so i have always done things weekly but will have to change that now thanks once again |

A single person would be able to claim £195 per calender month for food - when you receive the money is regardless the allowance is given for the month - you will have to learn to budget monthly

thanks for the replys ..sorry dont mean to be thick just trying to get my head around this so i get £520 a month now normal months have 4 weeks in them so on them weeks i get £130 a weekfor food but when its a month that has 5 weeks in it i only get £104 a week for food ??

The amount of money received and period ie 4 weeks 5 weeks would be worked out for a year and divided by 12 to give monthly income - it has to be done thia way as the allowances are all for one month
