Posted - 23 July 2009 : 16:50:22 I received 2 letters from the gas and electric today saying that the OR had written to them telling them about my bankruptcy they were fine about it,but I didn't know that she would write to them.I'm now worried sick about who else she's written to,will my coop bank now after 9 weeks get frozen, will the council evict me,will BT or mobile contract be cancelled.I thought the worst was over, also got my first wage slip with my new reduced hours on it and it's actualy £50 more than I told OR it would be cos paid less tax than I thought,so I'm now worried she might try and reduce I and E to try and get ipa from me, though on my reckoning she would have to reduce it by £300 to get one, I'm all in a panic again now can anyone offer any advice. |

I do agree that they possibly either see it in the London Gazette or trawl the register. There is no reason for the OR to inform them if your payments are up to date.

Posted - 26 July 2009 : 20:26:54 This happened to me re gas and electric. I was up to date and they wrote saying that as I was now Br I could no longer have DD and credit. The OR was definate that they had not informed them as this was not their practice but thought that these companies trawled through the London Gazette.

Posted - 26 July 2009 : 17:15:08 Kallis I'm afraid I'm a coward not phoning OR unless I have to,think I'd rather just wait and see if I hear anything else, actualy found the letters and they actualy say we have been informed of your personal insolvency, they don't actualy mention OR,do you thing this might have something to do with my iva failing. |

Posted - 26 July 2009 : 16:40:33 I don't understand it myself I don't owe them a penny,so couldn't see the point in it, can't help but worry who else she's written to and am really quiet freaked out about it.They said they had been informed on 2 july so just hoping that if anyone else was going to contact me over this they would have already done so. |

Posted - 26 July 2009 : 08:15:29 Hmm, are you sure that is what happened and that the Utility companies didnt just find out from public records. It would be unusual for the OR to write to them if you had no debts with them |
