Thanks to Debtinfo and Skippy for their answers.I have £27000 debts which have accumulated due to regular use of credit cards for living expenses and unexpected costs for a number of years.I have consolidated loans and CC debts a number of times and transferred many balances. Each time you borrow a bit extra and with charges and interest the debt has mounted up.As I am only paying the minimum amount each month the balances are staying the same and it will be 30 years until they are paid off if ever.As work has diminished the last 6 months it has got even more difficult to manage and I have been using one CC to buy groceries etc. Therefore after speaking to CAB and National Debtline I have decided BR is the best option. One son has gone to Uni and the other will be going in a year so less expense and I feel that just dealing with cash will put a control on spending. We live with Mum(85)and because of my money situation she has been paying more than she would normally pay for bills and expenses out of her pension. Therefore I am not sure how to fill in my SOA.It is not fair to expect her to continue paying for things that I should pay for as well as letting the 3 of us live rent free in her house.I was just wondering if I should put that I pay for some things she pays for like the gas/electric/house insurance and some groceries. If the OR thinks that my expenses are so low he will give me an IPA whereas it is just because of Mum helping out. Also do I count my son at uni as a dependent as he will be living at home when not term time?

Your son wont be a dependant because he is at uni, Before the bankruptcy agree a sensible amount amount with our mother, it is ok to pay her a fair amount, if you are one of 3 adults then a fair amount for you would be 1/3 of the rent and bills, the OR expects you to pay your way and without the pressure of debts you should be able to now

I was living with my partner before I went BR and I wasn't paying anything towards the household expenses. Before I went BR my partner and I agreed how much I should pay him (it worked out at nearly half as there's only 2 of us) and this is the figure that I put on the SOA.

Only when the last tree has died, the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught will we realise that we cannot eat money.

34 IPA payments made, 2 to go - not long to go now!
