Hi. I have been discharged from my bankruptcy since oct 2008 and have written several letters to 2 creditors involvrd in the case to mark my file as "satisfied". They neither have replied or done as they shuld have done. I am trying to get my life back on track, but 2 accounts marked as "default" and with the amount owed shown, make life extremely difficult. Surely this cannot be right? Bankruptcy should give you a clean sheet, regardless of whether your realised assets covered all debts? Why am I being stymied in my eforts to rebuild my life?

You do have a clean sheet as regards having your debts written off.

Even if they do comply and mark your credit file as 'satified' or 'partially satisfied' your file won't be clear until the BR drops off, 6 years after the date of the BR order.
