Hi. How can you get your creditors who "took a hit" to mark your file as " satisfied" ? I have written several letters but to no avail. My credit report always shows "default" and the full amount owed, which is making it very difficult for me to rebuild my life. Surely there is a way to make them comply>

Your creditors don't have to mark your file as 'satisfied', they can mark it as 'partially satisfied'. However if you have written to them and they refuse to comply you can write to the Information Commissioner who has the power to force them.
