i made myself br in feb.this year but the inland revenue are still sending me statments saying i still owe them 10k can they override the br? (ive not worked since my br)

Have you told them about the bankruptcy and are you still working self employed

i,ve tried to speak to them not really got anywhere i,ve not worked at all since nov. 09 (house husband now) the last bill says i still owe 10k from way before my br.

Hi Adrian

All you need to do is send the correspondence to your OR and let them deal directly with HMRC - any liability up to the BO is a claim in the bankruptcy and HMRC can't override it - they may still write to you directly to tell you the amount owing, but they can't pursue you for it
