On the 2nd April 2009 I was declared bankrupt in Colchester County Court. As such I had to surrender all my credit/charge cards.
One of which, American Express I had used to pay my membership of AOL.I had expected AOL to cancel my account when they were not paid however they have continued to allow me to use my account even though to the best of my knowledge they have not been paid.I was discharged from br in September 2009 and I am now worried that AOL will catch up with me and charge me for the last 14 or so months. It seems ridiculous and unbeleivable that they have allowed this to continue. I think I this has been allowed because I do not use the AOL server as I use mobile technology and connect via a Vodafone dongle. Should I contact AOL and cancel my account or just let sleeping dogs lie if you gather my drift.

Have you checked your AOL account online to see what it says? When I was with them I was able to view my payments.

I would just check with them though, you don't want any nasty surprises coming through the post.

Buckle your seat belt Dorothy, 'cos Kansas is going bye bye.
