Hello, can I withdraw my interest from my friends bankruptcy, I loaned her an amount 5 years ago and have decided not to persue my claim?

Hi Charlotte

has your friend already petitoned for bankruptcy ?

if so when ?

if so did you petiton for her bankruptcy or was it self petition by your friend ?

sorry lots of questions but that does effect the answer

if your friend has been declared BR any of her left over assets will be divided pro roster by her creditors (after the OR has taken its share).

the OR that is dealing with any assets would have sent out letters and that is the person you should make contact with.

if you were the only creditor, that would make an interesting question which i do not know the answer too

regards Richard
