Hi, I filed for bankruptcy at court and all went OK and my call from the Official receiver this afternoon was OK. They seemed really friendly and I feel like I answered all the questions. I am writing to asksome advice. I am on benefits and I have been selling some of my personal items on the internet and also some of my parents (All Cd's, DVD's and records). Will this cause me any problems... all the transactions are on my bank statements and I have already told the receiver about it. It adds up to a £4000 for this last year will that be a problem? I am worried they may look upon it as income and it will mean they question my receipt of benefits and cause problems there..... Very worried about it actually...
I would appreciate any advice.
Thanks :-)

Hi Sandiacre

My wife also ran an Ebay business prior to bankruptcy, on speaking to the OR they stated that the income was not guarenteed so they would keep a track and assess as the business progressed. The OR also had my wifes income and expenditure sheet available and stated that she could earn a profit of an average of £55 a month on ebay before they were interested.

congratulations on your bankruptcy , iam pleased that your telephone interview went well

regads Richard
