Hi again its me. the OR just called me up to say that we are having a telephone interview soon. She said that when we have the interview she wants to know what i spent my loan and credit cards on. I honestly cant remember what i spent them on what do i tell her.  |

If you can't remember just be honest and tell her that. When I had my interview my credit cards weren't even mentioned, only my loans.

I have exactly the same concerns. Some of my debts are from years ago and they have been sold on time and again to debt collection companies and some of them I can't even remember who the original debt was with and whether it was a loan, cc or overdraft. Goodness knows what the Or will think of me but nothing I can do other than be honest. Am absolutely dreading it.
OMG so worried and not sleeping...Went Br 20th July 2010...Just the OR to face now then countdown for 1 year. |

Honestly, if you don't know or can't remember tell the examiner that. It's far better to be honest than to try and make up reasons.

As Skippy says - just be as clear as you can
Most debts accrue over a period of time and are spent on normal household living
If you used the loans, credit cards to buy specific items - cars, caravans, furniture, house extensions/repairs - then you can let the OR know roughly what and when, but usually it is just a combination of small items over a period of time (plus interest and charges!)
Don't worry about the OR's response or attitude - just tell them what you know and if you don't know just say so
