 br in nov 2005 but still cant get bank account

i went bankrupt in nov 2005 but still cant get a bank accont wiht an over draft!!

have beeen told that my bankrupcy is still stoppong me!!

i thougth i was spent from bankrupcy within 2 yrs

what do i need to do??

Hi Keith,

Bankruptcy stays on your credit history for 6 years as far as I am aware, this may be the problem.




OMG so worried and not sleeping...Went Br 20th July 2010...Just the OR to face now then countdown for 1 year.

Yep thats right, it is on your file for 6 years, Also if you are ever asked on an application then you will have to declare that yo have been bankrupt. At the end of the day the bank has the right to offer what services it wants to customers.

One thing you can do is clean up your creditfile so all the defaults drop off at the same time
