Iwent bankrupt in aug 2004, so its now been y years. What happens to credit files after the 6 years are they wiped clean with no trace of bankruptcy?

Yep, you will efectivly have no credit info at all except new stuff in the last 6 years

Will the discharged date of jan 2005 dissappear also,orwill it dissappear 6 years from that date?

with regards to letting agents would we now pass a letsure check, or can they still find out of previous history

the bankruptcy would disapear 6 years from the start (the day you went to court).

You are still required to tell someone you were bankrupt if they specifically ask (if they dont you dont have to)this lasts forever
