Today I received a letter form inland revenue requesting I complete a self assessment form by November due to being made bankrupt last year. I'm not self employed but up until a couple of months ago when I was made redundant I was employed and i paid tax as far as my wage slip was concerned....the company went into to liquidation as they couldn;t pay the tax to the inland revenue...could this be why I have to do it.........also my tax code was never changed to NT.

Any thoughts would be very much appreciated as I'm worried I'm going to get a tax bill now after everything.

Thank you xx

If you paid tax via PAYE when you were employed then there shouldn't be a problem. Fill in the tax form, see what happens and try not to worry.
