Hi All,

I was discharged from BR Dec 2009 and am now looking to find a Business Bank Account does anyone or any of the experts have any advice the CO-OP (who I have a basic C/A with) Call Centre said no business account for 6 years has anyone had any better luck than this or am I unlikley to succeed? I have thought of an off shore account but would rather try the UK high street first. Some forums have said make an appointment to see the bank manager but surely the rules are the rules so the call centre should know or is that not right? Many thanks

Hi charliebucket,

If you struggle and you absolutely need a business account you could try: www.secretariatservices.net

I can't personally recommend them but this site has been mentioned on iva.co.uk. I believe they charge a hefty fee though.

Good luck and let us know how you get on with the high street banks.

I spent months looking for a business account whilst I had an IVA and was generally treated like a lepper!

However, I found that RBS do a foundation business account. You get a normal account with Cheque book, VISA Electron(which is as good as normal visa now), online banking etc. Excellent bank all round and highly recommended.

They don't do bank accounts for people who are undischarged tho.

Closing mine tho as going bankrupt tomorrow! :)
