Hello everyone,

Tomorrow is my big day, finally a year has passed and I should have AD tomorrow. Just wondered if anyone knew when the register would be updated to show this. Would it be at midnight tonight?? during the day tomorrow?? or midnight tomorrow?? I know I won't be able to stop checking the register every 5 mins so if anyone knows the answer I would be very grateful.

It was such a relief when I initially went BR and being able to tell all the callers (who I had been avoiding for so long) and for them to just say OK, take the details and never contact me again, that was great. The rest of the year was fine, I was slightly stressed on occasions re the OR. For no particular reason, think I am just a natural worrier and worried all the time that I was doing everything ok. Didn't have anything to worry about really but it was such a big step for me to take and to have hanging over me for the year. On reflection my dealings with the OR were fine. Always polite and professional and fair.

I have continued to check this forum regularly to check for changes in procedures and other people's experiences. This forum has been a lifesaver and I really mean that. It puts it all into perspective and makes you realise that you are not the only person going through it. Advice has always been given quickly and supportively so THANK YOU to all of you on here for your support over the year. I will carry on checking in to see what is happening. Realise it's still not all over for another 5 years but wow the feeling of having 'no debt' is priceless. Never ever going down that route again. Going to start saving a bit now, if I can. It's wonderful never going overdrawn and knowing how much money I have all the time. Hadn't had that feeling for many many years.

Anyway enough waffle, looking forward to tomorrow as my 'next' stage. Thanks again to all of you.

xxx

Congratulations! I really can't believe that it was a year ago that you went BR!

Regarding the register updating, I'm pretty sure that it happens at midnight. I know it was updated when I got up in the morning.

So, so pleased for you, you must be so excited.
I am sure that you will be checking that register constantly.
It's lovely to read your post & I'm sure that it will help others who have just started or are in the process of becoming BR.
I bet the year has flown by & you must feel so empowered being back in control of your finances.
Good Luck with everything & keep in touch when you ca.

HI WW

congrats are you going to stay up to midnight and watch the insolvency web site change ?

dont forget to print off the computer generated page as most of your creditors will accept this as proof of discharge

Congratulations from me as well!

I can't see the register changing over at midnight tonight! Might take a bit longer than that!

Mine had definitely changed by the time I got up on the day of discharge so fingers crossed it'll be updated tomorrow morning!

Glad it's updated, and congratulations!

Jan, I didn't know what time it updated as I was discharged on a Saturday and I don't surface too early at the weekend!
