hi all, just signed up to one of the 3 credit rating firms (not sure if i can say the actual name), anyway my rating was 219, very bad section, BR in jan 2009, most of the debt is shown as settled and are lit up in green, but theres quite afew that arnt showing settled, my question is twofold, if i change these to settled will these do alot for the score and secondly, how do i do this as the woman on the phone wasent great at english, she mentioned something about BR num???? thanks for reading and hopefully replying

Hi,

My experian credit score was 900!

This was with a completed IVA showing and also lots of defaults not showing as satisfied, lots of red!

I was refused a Vanquis card.

I cleaned up my credit file to all satisfied, credit score was still 900 and was still rejected by Vanquis.

The score, as far as I know, is absolutely a load of rubbish and means nothing at all.

I don't know if equifax or call credit have scores and didn't check.

If you want the creditors to mark your entry as satisfied, you need to write to the data controller at each one with your bankruptcy details, your bankruptcy number is on your bankruptcy order.

Good luck.

I've no idea what my credit score is and I don't think I'll ever understand how companies decide whether you can have an account! I've just been accepted for an account with Next and they were one of my creditors!

Only when the last tree has died, the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught will we realise that we cannot eat money.

Last IPA payment made on 28th June 2010 and I'm now looking forward to getting married in September 2012 - I'm proof that you can go BR and come out the other side.
