I asked today if there was a way my BR could not be advertised in the local paper and was told that it is only advertised in your local paper IF they have the room. Anybody on here not had their BR advertised locally? How many of you had it advertised but not seen by anyone?

Mine was advertised but no has mentioned it to me.

Whilst we are on this subject I have been reading the BR secion of my local paper sincemy BR and have come across adverts that read the conduct of xyz will be heard before the court on what ever date is this when someone isto be givena BRU or is it because they have declined a \bru and the OR is going for a BRO.

It is a statutory requirement to advertise notice of the bankrutpcy in the local paper, and is in no way reliant upon the amount of room in the legal notices section!

For an informal chat about any financial difficulties, or advice as to the options available, I can be contacted via my website - www.melaniegiles.com

Hi tess121068

Yes this is the statutory notice that the OR is applying to the court for a BRO as the bankrupt has failed to agree to a BRU.
