Hi, Which banks will allow a bankrupt an account and how best to apply - phone, on-line or at a branch? Also, I was made bankrupt on 24th June and the Examined now wants to see ALL my business details and details of my divorce & all settlements (financial & childrens residence). Is this normal and regular? I appreciate your help. Many thanks, Ammy
hi ammy the co-op bank has a cashminder account which lots of people on this forum say is very good, sorry cannot help with your other question one of the experts will,be along soon to answer it
Yes it is the norm for your OR to want to see all those details, was it a bankruptcy due to a failed business venture? As for your divorce and settlements ect yes they do ask to see them I was asked for details of my divorce from 2 years ago. Dont worry just be honest and help your OR as much as possible and you should be fine. Maxine x
Hi ammy will agree about the co-op basic account. You have internet banking and an electron card. You can either apply in the branch or on the phone. If you tell them that you are BR they don't judge which is great. Also as Maxine has said the OR will ask to see all of your finacial details. Its just so they can get a handle on why you went BR.
