Hello,

Just doing a dress rehearsal of filling out SOA.

Hubby and I have 2 banks loans together, do I declare the entire debt on both of our SOA? Or do I split it 50/50?
We also have a joint bank account. Do I split remaining funds in half to declare? Or the entire amount on both SOA?
Cheers x

whatever

hi drowning

I also had a joint loan with my ex husband, I was told by the OR to declare the whole amount,BUT he will be chased for the whole amount if he is not declaring bankruptcy and he was...Maybe it is an idea to remove him from the bank account though as i still had a dormant one with my ex and he had all his bankaccounts cancelled (by the bank) due to my bankruptcy.Im sure an expert will be along soon to answer but this is my experience.

We are both going BR, so probably no need to remove him. Slightly nervous to hear your accounts were closed. Did you owe them money?
How have you found BR? Harder than you thought or okay?

You both need to declare the joint debts in their entirity on your individual statements of affairs.
