Hi dhako and welcome to the forum. How much longer do you have to go in your IVA. I went BR on 21st May and it was the best thing I have ever done. If you decide to go BR you will need a letter from your IP confirming that the IVA has failed. Keep asking questions but also try and get some sleep. Your health is worth more than a few debts.

I second what Sue says. IVAs are perfect for some, but for others they are not the right path. You are about to retire and from what you have said, you have nothing to lose. You have tried and thats that!

I agree! If the IVA is just becoming another financial nightmare for you, it is probably time to end it - especially as you are so close to retiring which presumably will affect the affordability in any case.

For an informal chat about any financial difficulties, or advice as to the options available, I can be contacted via my website - www.melaniegiles.com

Hi Dhako and welcome to the forum.

The only issue I can see with a BR in your situation is your pension. If your pension is going to pay a lump sum on retirement, it is likely the OR will take this as part of an IPA/IPO.
