Most creditors coerse debtors to take out insurance cover on their loans and yet when problems start, e.g. loss of work, redundancy, illness etc., and you approach them, they point you in the direction of CABs, debt management, IVAs and then ultimately, out of frustration and hopelessness you end up going BR. Invariably, debtors do not even know the names of the companies providing the cover or even the terms of the cover though payment continues for years. What I want to know is this: AT THE BR STAGE, CAN ONE STILL GO BACK TO MAKE A CLAIM? |

The fact that you have defaulted on the loan agreement, would probably void the cover provided.
For an informal chat about any financial difficulties, or advice as to the options available, I can be contacted via my website - www.melaniegiles.com |

Hi modensane
Can you supply some more information: Insurer name and policy number. Policy start date. Date of claim. Type of claim - Accident Sickness or Redundancy. Is policy still in force, if not, what date cancelled. |
