Hello, I am currently facing bankruptcy and am living back at home with my parents, making nominal board payments of £50 per week for everything including food as I can't afford to do anything else. I have been asked to fill out expenditure forms for the trustee and taxman but I want to be able to move out of home into rented accomodation (with associated bills) How do I complete the expenditure listing if I have no current proof of expenditure? If I truthfully say that I currently only pay 200 a month for everything, I won't be able to move out on the allowance left over. Can the form be completed as if I would be seeking to move out? Thanks,

Hi there and welcome to the forum

You should disclose your current expenditure, and advise the OR that you are only living with parents on a temporary basis and intend to move into your own place shortly. Provide them with a list of the costings of a rented flat, including bills, and I am sure that this will be acceptable - of course you do actually have to move to warrant having the additional expenditure allowed!

For an informal chat about any financial difficulties, or advice as to the options available, I can be contacted via my website - www.melaniegiles.com
