Hi Rollercoaster, I just wanted to wish you luck for your Face to face today.
You will be fine, just be honest and try not to panic, easy for me to say, but whats done is done and nothing can change that, you are not a criminal and your not on trial.
Be yourself and just explain as you have on your SoA and you will breeze through.
Let us all know how you both get on.
Take care mate
Jo

Hi Rollercoaster,
Just wanted to add my 'good luck' message too. I hope it all goes well for you. Once it's over you'll feel better and be able to relax. I can't wait till I'm able to do the same!
Take care and let us know how you get on.

thank you for your kind messages. The face to face was really daunting, especially as we had alot of explaining to do, but we answered everything honestly. we had forwarded every piece of information that we had and the OR thanked us for that, our interviews started at 9am and we didn't finish until 1.30pm. OR said there is about 15k equity in the house and we are not wanting to ask anyone to find this amount for us (sort of flies in the face of a new start) hubby really wanted to stay in the house, but last week we sat down and did the figures and found it just isnt practical, we were worried because there are no rentals in our area but after the interview we sat down again and have made the decision to get a real fresh start and move away about 10 miles to a town where most of our friends live and commute in to work/schools. The OR wasn't interested in the car (2003 picasso) and said it was not worth his while taking hubbies scooter and asked if we could get a family member to offer 100 odd quid for it. we keep the pensions (expected these to go) and probably the life insurance (life only, think its £50 to buy back)he was happy about the cheap laptop we bought our son for his school SEN arrangements. He estimated that we actually had an income £250 less than i had estimated with hubbies overtime and said there would be no IPO (subject only to change if hubbies overtime increases regularly or we get into rental) but said we were deficit now so it would still be unlikely. didn't say anything much about BRUs but we are expecting them (we deserve them/gambling) he did however put emphasis on the fact it stopped 8 months ago and that we were happy to be in our IVA until hubby job loss. I must say i was terrified at the prospect of the face to face interview but the gentleman was very good and of course we were very open about our part to play in this predicament (although it obviously came to a head when hubby lost job) thank you so much for all of your support through this roller coaster we have been on (although it is not over yet) like the OR said, this is our fresh start. xx |

apparently the valuation figure we got he agreed with, but we thought there was £5k more outstanding on the mortgage than he found! It has actually just made it easier to make a decision to let go of the house. |

Im glad RC that your getting there. It is a long hard struggle to get by and that now you really can get on with your debt free life. Enjoy the bank holiday weekend and just generally chill. As your name says it is a rollercoaster of a ride, but thats life and at least we have this forum to help us through. I dont know about you lot but without it I dont think i could have. Take care mate JO
