Hi there

bit of guidance concerning a question on the BR form,
question 1.17 asks whether i have been a director or in the management of a company, well i am a sole trader as i own and run a gift shop, i take it my answer to that question would be no

Hi andy

that's right.
Yours is not a company it's a business and therefore not to be listed there.

Although your business details should be listed in section 2.
