I have had debt problems for some time now, I have been paying my creditors what I can every month without fail

However I have had a statutory demand form 6.1 by a debt collection agency served against me I would like to know what happens next

Hi

you need to send written defence to the court by the due date noted on the demand, if you intend to submit, and have, a valid defence that is.

You do not have to attend but if you feel you have a defence then you must, to explain all to the judge and answer any questions he may have.

If the judge finds in favour of the claimant they may then petition the court for your bankruptcy.
