hi there,
need a bit of guidance on a couple of questions on the BR form
question 6.9 asks for my current or last income tax ref number but i can't find this on any documentation that i have, i don't really want to contact my accountant at this stage as he is a family friend.
the second question ask for the address of my tax office, there is one where i work and live, is it likely to be this one?
regards, andy |

Hi Andy,
I beleive the tax office is the one local to you. You could always give the local office a call and they can tell you which is yours.
The tax ref is on a P60 usually, but am i right in thinking your self employed???
In which case, do you not have any of the IR fors that you send off to them for end of year to have a look and see what is on that.
I dont know if i have helped at all, as all our info was on a P60 and also on our latest wage slips.

Hi Andyb,
Interestingly enough, your tax office doesn't usually have anything to do with where you live. As Jo says, check your annual returns as it should have the information you require.
