i owe £10,000 and i dont own anything really. I am married and my wife owns a house. is it at risk.

Hi dja and welcome to the forum! :-)

We'd need more info to be able to help you. Presumably you live in the house with your wife? How long have you lived there? Do you contribute to the mortgage? Is there any equity in the house?

If you give us more info, someone will be able to help you.
