today i have lost my job, i had to be fair to my employers, and tell them of my plans to go BR, and because of the industry i work in it was unethical, and i also owe them 62k through a secured loan !
can the OR make me get another job ?
if i dont work during the 12 months of BR, but start a new job after that can an attatchment of earnings be made ?

Hi Jo

No the OR cant make you get another job.

Sorry to hear about whats happened, you are having a rough time of it.

Have you called the helpline so that you can get a plan together and find out which order to do things.

The OR cant start an IPA once discharged, if there is one in place before then yes they can up it but if not once discharged that would be that.
Obviously taht would depend on your current income and expenditure and what would be taken from you now.

Do take care and keep posting.

Jo

I was in a similar situation, coming from a Financial Service background, I was forced by employer to leave when I advised them I was going bankrupt. I have now been bankrupt for just over 5 months and during that time I have completed 3 temporary contracts - the OR has been very understanding, it has been especially difficult for me to gain any work. I can't gain work in the industry that I have worked in for the last 11 years and am stuck doing rubbish temporary admin roles for less than half the wage I used to earn.

Good luck

Hi Joella68

just left you a voicemail message.
Please call the mobile number given when you can.

If the number is engaged I will get back to you again but please do not withhold your number so that I am aware that it is you that called.

Take care.
