Hi everyone,

I have another question about the BR fees. I have made an appointment for my husband and I to go bankrupt on the 5th of December at Birmingham county Court. We receive income support as a couple and have an up to date letter stating this from the DWP. When I spoke to the Court today the woman said that only one of us can use the income support as a concession which will be my husband as he is the main claimant. I asked her what I could use and she said it was do with my annual income. I only receive carer's allowance so it is very small. She called this a concession 2. Does anyone know what this concession is and what i will need to take to court to prove my eligibility?

Many thanks,
Amanda

Hi

just take full details of your income / benefits etc. I believe concession 1 is claiming the right benefit to receive a reduction in fees.

The person you spoke to is correct in that only the benefit claimant can receive that reduced fee for that reason.

Concession 2 is where there is low income into the household. Don't quote me but I believe the threshold is around £15K per annum.
