Hi

I just thought I would alert people to the fact that Debenhams are now doing a prepaid mastercard.Might be worth a look.I took a leaflet and it seems that you can load it with money in the post office ,online and in the stores.

Hi Tracy

Have a little look in mmy blog i have listed all about it and since having one i wont be thinking about the debit cards you get with the Coop as this is just fine.

Take care

Sounds quite good but one word of caution about these prepaid cards. They tend not to be covered by the FSA and so any balance on the card could, in theory, be lost if the company ceased trading. FSA-affiliated banks guarantee something likfe £13000 of balance against forfeiture by the bank. Its a long shot but in today's banking environment worht considering. I've got a similar card which I've hardly used as no money to put on it! I don't think in the future I would feel comfortable having £10000 on it. Just in case.

Hi Pix

I can see where your coming from i only put on enough for my weekly shopping as its easier to shop online that way so my max balance is about £150 at a time.

Good point though. LOL
