Hi, just wondering if anyone else had/has trouble with Co-Op getting them certified copies of ID to them?
Going through the long application process and a phone call today they say that they've not accepted my wife's ID - the driving licence is unacceptable (?) and they can't accept tenancy agreements over 6 months old (!!!) The latter is ridiculous, the former is just strange - we've nothing else to use!
All utility bills in my name, they've got a copy of the birth certificate, we've no passports, no benefit documents they haven't already seen - what on earth else can we use? They're being rather helpful but apparently I need to speak to someone during business hours - the only time I can't actually get to a phone!
Anyone else had this sort of problem? Can't even just set it up in my name either as some of the income is cheques in my wife's name :(
Trouble is I'm stuck now - I can't insure my new car without a bank account, I no longer have the old one yet have no choice but to use the car for transport to work and to get baby to hospital this week!
What a dilemma :(

hi, i got a cashminder account and they give you a list with A + B types of documents which are acceptable.

what about council tax bill with both names on usually? i couldnt use my driving licence because they don't know how new it is and they want current proof. i sent a tax credits form and that worked, i wasnt on the electoral roll and althought it didnt go against me it didnt help me either.

i wrote to them with all the info as i'd been through the phone mularky.

good luck

That's exactly the issue, we don't have any of that. Not on the electoral roll, we're not allowed (because they're too slow to update to brand new buildings, if you're postcode doesn't exist yet, you can't vote!)
The annoying thing is, the details we provided were said to be OK by the lady on the phone - I confirmed even again before sending - even had a signed letter from our midwife stating they were correct likenesses etc!
