I think Bankruptcy is my only option as I do not have enough spare money for an IVA – what would be the consequences for bankruptcy if I live abroad? Does it affect my life here?? I have done my expenses also – please ha

Prescriptions $48.15 (For anti depressant)
Optical $44 (Contact Lenses)
Gym $79.80 (GP informed me to exercise to help with depression)
Med Insurance $100.90 (In Australia this is recommended - suffer from PCOS so have a high premium)
Parking Fines $60.00
Petrol $200.00
Green Slip(car) $37
Insurance(car) $40
Food $600
Rent $900
Bills $200
Credit Card $100

Hi there .... I'm sorry I can't help with your questions, but as a very very new starting member to this site, I just wanted to say that someone with some knowledge will be along soon to help you with your question.
I just remember how frustrating it is when so many people read your post but no one replies!
I can say though with a GREAT amount of conviction that this is ABSOLUTELY the right place to get the right advice.

I'm sorry but this site is set up for support and advice for those considering, and in, bankruptcy within the UK.

Australian Insolvency Law is no doubt very different from the UK so I am unable to advise you.

I am going to go bankrupt in the UK as I have only been in Asutralia for 6 months and have checked and am able to do so.
