Hi there,

I am looking at bankruptcy as an option due to a number of horrible circumstances, but i need to know if there is any way of not having my full details published in the press.

The reason for this is i am a police officer and to have my name, full address and occupation put in my local rag could cause me some serious problems if some of my 'clients' and 'customers' read it!

Does anyone know the answer??

Thanks

Steve

My address and details didn't go into the newspaper, my name was printed though. I had to get a stay of advertisement, paid £30 I think it was and the judge had to agree to it. It was granted because my life was at risk if my details were shown. My circumstances and my reasons were in my mind and alot of peoples minds quite horrific and yet they still printed my name so not sure whether being a policeman would make any difference. Apparantly its quite rare that they refrain from printing all of your details. Hope this helps.

Don't forget that your full details will be available for all to see on the Insolvency Register.

The glimmer gets brighter all the time
