I was declared bankrupt in July 2007. I struggled to pay the mortgage and eventually handed back the keys to the mrtgage company in November 2008. Am I liable for the shortfall when the propery was sold. I keep getting letters from the mortgage company and solicitors asking me to pay whaat is outstanding. (£64000)

Hi

I'm afraid you will indeed be responsible for any unsecured shortfall and as such you are no doubt aware of the very real likelihood that you will need to declare bankruptcy a 2nd time.
