hi was wondering if you could advise. been made bankrupt, am i allowed to have a bt basic phone line put in? ive asked bt they said i can. i did ask to have bt pay and call but they said no as i didnt owe them any debt. So can i have a phone line or is this seen as some kind of credit agreement.

There's no problem with having a phone line put in providing BT are happy to do so.

I am transferring my Virgin Media to my rented property as well as my utilities. I don't have to tell them about my impending BR as they are not creditors is that right? or do they get informed as a matter of course. I have not listed either Virgin Media (although one of my creditors is Virgin Credit Card??!!! so will they know - similar situation to my Cat Insurance on previous thread) or Scottish Power as am doing a direct transfer to my new accommodation. I have never missed payment on either of them.

just carry on with the transfers. These are priority "debts" and therefore perfectly ok.
