I went to court and was declared BR today. After that I spoke to someone at the Official Receivers office. She arranged for a telephone interview in 2 weeks. Since leaving court I have a terrible feeling that I omitted something on the SOA form and I have perjured myself. For the last 3 years I have been making payments to support my Thai fiancee in Bangkok. I did not declare this on the SOA. I just thousht that when it asked about property given way or sold it mean't property as in a domicile. I am very worried about the consequences of my actions. What should I do?
You just need to let the OR know at your interview that you have the additional expense of supporting your Fiancee. They may not allow you to continue to do this in terms of giving you the allowable expenditure, but it depends on how much money you are sending her.
I should have said I am no longer supporting my fiancee as I am on benefits. I am concerned that I will get into trouble because I filled in the SOA wrongly. If I come clean at my interview what will the OR do. Will he place a BRO on me?
It is unlikely that you will get a BRO unless you have been reckless with your finances before BR or obstructive or non cooperative since BR Tell the truth to the OR in the interview and there should be no problem. You should still be discharged after 1 yr

Don't worry or know that worrying is as effective as trying to solve an algebra equation by chewing bubble gum.(Baz Lurman) Life's too short!!!
