Hi,

I told the RTLU I was earning an extra £100 a month, and they have asked me to complete an IPOQ. I thought that the existing signed IPA was a done deal, but am now worried they start to reduce my allowable expenses. See this thread here, where a poster states that on going to the RTLU, her allowable expenses were reduced by 25%. This would be a disaster for us. I should say my original IPA was set up at my initial face to face interview, and I have been told that they have been relatively kind to me. I have only had contact with the RTLU this last week (discharged in less than a month). So this is the first time the RTLU have looked at the IPA in detail.

By being honest about my payrise, could I have to pay even more than a percentage of this rise?

THanks

Hi

the IPA is continually reviewed over the 3 years and there is a duty to advise the OR of a change in circumstance , address , income etc etc.

If your expenses have been accepted initially they would only be reduced for a valid reason - i.e. fuel was £300 per month but new job is 1 mile away so I walk.

hope that helps

Hi,

Thanks. Not sure if you read the thread, but it seems that an IPA was reduced just to bring it in line with the office of national statistics....reducing expenses agreed by the OR, once it went to RTLU.

Regards
