All booked now... they had cancellation (if not would been 16th), so we went for it, sooner the better eh?
Feel quite anxious. |

Yeah, the sooner the better as the sooner that the calls/letters stop from creditors although it can take a couple of weeks for those to stop as well.
I was declared BR on the 11th May and sent a copy of the certificate to my creditors and also passed on the details to those that called but yesterday (26th May) was the first day without any creditor calls.
philtam - 30th July two months away; they must really be busy in your area? |

Well done Emdaz/Philtam,
wish we were ready to set a date but still saving for rent/bond, then on to the task of court fee! All that with baby stuff to buy too, arghhhhhh!!
I'm sure everything will be much easier than you expect and you'll feel relieved to get it out of the way!!!
Fingers crossed for you x |

Were in Yorkshire, we have had our fee's and bond/rent ready, so we were just waiting until we found a property to rent and then sorted out swapping our car and finally filling out all the forms etc. Good to have it booked now. We are quite fresh into this and only have received a couple of letters from our creditors, thank-god know calls.
I think moving house with 2 small babies will be more stressful than going BR though. I'm not looking forward to sorting and packing etc...
Will we get a letter then to send to our creditors? |

| Once you are BR you can send a copy of the BR certificate to your creditors or give them the details over the phone if they call. The OR will contact them as well but this can take 6-8 weeks. Be warned that it does take a bit of time for the fact you are BR to filter through to the call centres so you will probably still receive calls for about 2 weeks after being BR even if you send them a copy of the certificate. |

Good luck to both of you.
I wouldn't worry too much about calls afterwards (apart from the nuisance factor!) they can't do anything to you at all!
The glimmer gets brighter all the time
