i have a job which pays 260.00 a week which i pay 150.00 rent and 30.00 to my patener who i live with in a privat rent house along with my 4 children.I dont really have anything left aweek as i have a car which i need to get to work which obviously costs money ie petrol etc.My debts are around 13,000 which have obviously got out of hand,could you please tell me if i am elligable for bankruptcy as i have no way of paying this back,Thankyou and look forward to your response.

i believe ur debts need to be £15000 4 bankruptsy but there is something else for lower amounts of debt called a DRO , speak to ur local cab i think it costs£90 im no expert but i think this is correct

Yes, less than £15k debt a DRO would be better. The main points are:

- It costs £90
- Done through the CAB but there are some intermediary agencies that will assist in the process
- You need to have no assets worth more than £300, which will include the car.
- I think you need to have less than £50 disposable income each month.

Speak to your local CAB and see what they say about your situation.
