Hi
Just wondered if anyone could help. My Husband and I separated 6 weeks ago. We are both BR and are both named on the mortgage. I am still in the house with my children 15yrs and 17.
I spoke to the OR yesterday to ask about my Mum buying the BI in the home because I wondered if two people would have to buy the BI because of the two names on the mortgage. He said just my mum could buy it but I thought this would mean the trustee would still own 50% of the BI.
One of the people I spoke to also told me that most properties whether they are in negative equity or not are sold at the end of 3 yrs. This had confused me further because I thought if there was negative equity in the property it would not be in the interest of the building society to force a sale and after 3 years the trustee would hand the property back to me.
If this is the case I may as well get re possessed and get the shortfall covered in my BR.

Also does anyone know when I could get my Husband taken off the Mortgage?

Sorry to go on but I'm so confused

G XXX

There is light at the end of the tunnel, I can actually see it !!!!

Sorry, I can't help you with this but have you tried contacting the experts who frequent this board directly by using the 'experts' link on the left-hand side of the page?

They all have a lot of professional experience dealing with BRs so would probably be able to answer your questions.
