where can i have a basic account to pay in benefits and pension and set up direct debits

co-op cashminder, they accept bankrupts and have all the services you require.

Yes, the Co-op and Yorkshire Bank are both BR friendly. When you apply for the account tell them that you are BR/declaring BR and there won't be a problem.

You could also try Barclays if they aren't one of your creditors.

Yorkshire Bank, ARENT bankruptcy friendly, Yorkshire Building Society are but wont allow you direct debits or standing orders
