can somebody please tell me why the o/r refuses to consider my two teenage daughters at university as dependants in her ipa calcultions yet once again now they are applying for student loans / grants the amount they receive depends on the size of my income (the more i earn the less my kids get), the implication being i am responsible for making up the difference in their loan / grant so clearly that particular government department considers them as my dependants!

thanks

Hi
I think in they eyes of the insolvency practitioner your children are of adult age and therefore not dependent on you, Could you not absorb the fees into something else such general expenditure.
