Hi again, Me and my Wife went Bankrupt voluntarily on Wednesday last week. We have been given appointments with O.R. for the beginning of August, myself in the morning and my Wife in the afternoon at Southampton. We are trying to find out if we can ask/apply for the Beneficial Interest BEFORE we attend the interview. We understand the cost would be £212 between us, as our house is in negative Equity. We owe M/Express £255,000 and I have local e/agents valuations from 2 weeks ago with a figure of £245-£250,000. We also wondered if e/agents valuations were considered adequate anymore?! as we noticed in a form the O.R.'s office sent us "what will happen to my home" on page 7 it says about an independent qualified valuation! Many thanks again.

Sorry you will not be able to do it that quickly. When the OR is appointed he is only Receiver and manager of the estate. He can only deal with assets once appointed Trustee of the estate. This happens when he sends out the Report to creditors and he cannot report to creditors until you have been interviewed. Ususally the process wont start for more than 2 months
