Hi all, I am br , Can i ask you about a £100 cheque that my father sent me as he borrowed it a while back, Do i need to inform OR of this credit? or can i use it to live on???

If you are going 'by the book' then you should really tell the OR as this is additional income but I can't see them being that interested in it.

Couldn't your father give you the cash instead? This would save any problems with you having to cash the cheque and appearing on your bank statements.

It really is far too low a sum for the OR to be concerned over
